YOGURT PARFAIT

Makes 2 servings
When you think of a parfait, you may picture ice cream layered with dessert sauce or candy. Here is a healthier version, which includes yogurt and lots of fruit. Please note: this does not represent 1 serving of milk and is more than one serving of fruit.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (250ml) vanilla yogurt
  • ½ cup (125ml) unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 cup (250ml) fresh or frozen unsweetened blueberries or strawberries, mashed, or other berries such as raspberries or blackberries.
  • handfull of blueberries or 2 strawberries cut in half for garnish

Directions
1. Alternate layers of yogurt, applesauce and blueberries (or other berry mashed) in individual clear serving dishes.

2. Top with blueberries or strawberry halves and serve.
